Strategies that blend with CREDE

In the last few days I have used strategies that mesh with Dr. Tharp's Crede standards. We are working on Fundamental Principals in Government and Documents that up to the U.S. Constitution. One teaching strategy dealt with incorporating skits. Students read comics on legal documents and performed an act out called talking statues. Only one student can speak at a time and then they have to tap another student who then comes to life.

Another strategy recently used was learning centers. This incorporated cooperative learning and group work. This was done to help students prepare for an upcoming test. I will be back shortly to explain how some of these strategies applied to the Crede standards.
